I had an open vision recently as I had just sat down at my desk.
Immediately, As I walked into a very long rectangular room, like a corridor, I saw that there was an equally long table that stretched as far as my eye could see. It was placed in the center of the room and was accompanied by chairs that lined each side of the table. The table was made of beautiful dark mahogany with intricately carved wooden chairs upholstered with a deep red velvet. I noticed that there was a deep blush pink satin runner that ran the entire length of the banquet table and draped about two feet of fabric over to finish off the ends. At first glance this table was lavish. Silver platters and tiered trays filled with gorgeous looking food that looked like something you would see straight out of a movie scene of a King's feast. I quickly surveyed the food choices, glistening chicken drumsticks, large grape clusters, petite cakes, loaves of bread, and an entire roasted turkey just to name a few. The platters and trays filled the table endlessly. It looked quite extraordinary, and most definitely fit for royalty.
I then took a couple of steps closer and walked right up to the edge of the table. Many people started to gather into this banquet hall, took a seat and settled into the velvet fabric looking comfortable and relaxed. As they were all waiting patiently for everyone to take their place, I looked down at the silver plates again and realized the food was plastic. Everything was airbrushed and made to look real from afar but in reality it was just play food.
After my disbelief of the counterfeit feast the room then split into two rooms, mirroring one another like a fun house. I then heard the Lord say, "You can't feast on the world and expect to look like Me."
I then looked to my right and it was the original banquet set up that I had surveyed and found to be plastic. The left looked identical to the right and I then stepped into the atmosphere of the mirrored room. I walked straight to the edge of that table but this time I could smell the fragrant feast and found the food to be real. It with neither plastic nor counterfeit.
Soon, the people gathered into the room, sat down and began to feast on the Kingdom's provision. It was a celebration with much happiness and joy. People were glad to be feasting with one another and I could feel fellowship and "togetherness" in the atmosphere of that room.
I then walked out of the left side room and stood on the outside of both rooms mirroring one another like looking at a split screen. I looked back into the left "joyful" room and my spirit leaped with excitement as the King's lavish love and joy was contagious. I couldn't help but smile. I glanced back in the original room with the plastic food and looked at the people sitting in those chairs. They didn't look very happy. On the outside they tried to put on a front that they were satisfied but deep down they were starving. They all looked around at each other with half smiles forced out of fake emotions.
One woman, in a business suit stood up and reached for a chicken drumstick. She then sat back down and stared at it on her plate. She placed a napkin in her lap as she was preparing to taste the plastic food. Everyone looked at her expectantly. She then took a bite and chewed the plastic. Swallowed, then smiled like it was the best thing she had ever tasted. My heart was saddened for her. It was a counterfeit happiness and a meal that left her empty.
The Lord once again said "You can't feast on the world and expect to look like Me."
I stood there looking at both scenes. The happy people with a real Kingdom feast followed by the solemn, sad starving people who put up a facade of happiness while "enjoying" their fake feast.
I pondered this vision for a few days, not readily willing to jump to any conclusion on what the Father was trying to show me. I played it over and over in my mind. I prayed and asked for direction and while praying, a thought dropped into my heart. It was a simple statement.
YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.
In today's society this is true to a lot of people in so many ways. What we eat affects our insides and how our bodies and minds function. A person can look healthy on the outside but because of what they choose to feed themselves their insides are failing and most of the time the person doesn't even recognize the symptoms until they need medical intervention.
The same exact thing can be applied to the modern day American motivational church. They have uplifting messages about how you too can be awesome, a coffee bar with your favorite drink, awesome music and all the coolest dressed people on stage. The physical appearance of the leadership and congregation look like the coolest things since sliced bread. So relevant to the world to reach the lost that they forget to actually cast out demons, deliver people from addictions and mindsets, not just give them a pep talk about it and heal the sick. There are no blind eyes being opened or the kabod glory weighing on people. Point being that they leave everything out that opens the windows of heaven for heaven to manifest here on earth in the local church. People come to be filled but they leave every Sunday never delivered or truly transformed by the glory of God. New week, same demons.
We are in a NOW season where God is opening the eyes of many and people are going to truly recognize the counterfeit feast. What once satisfied you will no longer and you will go search for the deep things of God so that you may partake of the Kingdom's feast. IT IS TIME! God is calling you to truly taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalm 34:8), not just talk about it. He is such a lavishly loving God. Deep calls out to deep and it's time that we crave more of the real Kingdom lifestyle. He so deeply desires to see people set free and feel loved unconditionally by Him.
God is starting to pour out his presence and glory like never before. There are tsunamic waves of love that will trickle in before each waves hits again and again and will only increase with each season. People are going to be publicly transformed by these waves of glory. It will be the greatest outpouring and harvest we have ever seen and it will be undeniable!
The Lord said, "You can't feast on the world and expect to look like Me."
The more you feast on the world the more you become like it. The more you feast on the deep things of God, you will look different. People WILL take notice. You will begin to mirror the One you encounter.
Look at apostle Peter. He knew the spirit of God so intimately that everywhere he walked, people were healed just by his shadow falling on them. (Acts 5:15) That was because Peter mirrored the One he encountered and feasted with.
So, how do we know what we are feeding ourselves?
What are you listening to?
What are you watching?
What are you saying?
What are you thinking?
Who influences you and is giving you advice?
What do you crave in your life?
Who surrounds you?
What atmospheres are you hanging out in? Dry or alive?
It's time to truly look at the feast set before you and inspect what you have been feeding yourself with. God is readjusting supernatural vision and desires. He's calling you to a very deep relationship with His Spirit that forms and transforms in the secret place. Are you ready?
