Christmas is quickly approaching and even though I'm not in the Christmas Spirit this year, I've tried adding a little décor just for the kids so that it feels like it for them. Once again for the umpteenth time my husband has to work for Christmas, so after so many years, it sadly becomes just another day that my kids and I celebrate alone. We usually open up gifts a few days before, or on Christmas Eve morning and I love seeing the kids' face light up when they open gifts but it's just not the same. That's why this year I wanted some easy décor that I could quickly put away when it's all over. #BAHHUMBAG Don't worry, I'm excited for Jesus' birthday, just not to thrilled with spending another holiday alone. #FireWifeLife
I haven't made any little signs in forever so I thought I would whip up something easy. I rummaged through my scrap wood pile out back and came up with this little gem. I had 1/4 inch plywood scraps leftover from doing some shiplap along with some 1x2 inch strips of wood from building my coffee cart. Perfect for a small project. I also rummaged through my paint supplies and found some gray chalk paint from General Finishes called Limestone and red spray paint. Let me just say that this gray is my absolute favorite gray and no I'm not sponsored for saying that. I just love it that much! You can find the video on how I created the sign at the end of this post as well as some other silhouette projects! Don't worry, if you don't have a silhouette, any stencil will do!

I love that you can use the Silhouette to create stencils for you. What a great idea!
This is a great sign and your snowflake is very similar to the one I used on my pillows. Great minds. So sorry that your hubby has to work on Christmas day. That sucks!!
I love your sign. It would work anywhere in the house for Christmas.
