Farmhouse + Restoration Hardware Inspired Dining area // ORC week 3

Welcome to week 3 of the Fall 2016 One Room Challenge hosted by the fabulous Linda from  Calling It Home!  Week 3 means that the challenge only has 3 weeks left! I definitely have a lot more work to do!

The One Room Challenge™ is an event that takes place every April and October, where 20 selected design bloggers transform a space in their home over the course of 6 weeks. You don't just have to be a pro to participate. Any blogger can join  in the 6 week makeover challenge. I am one of those and we are called the "Guest Participants!" Fun right?  We motivate and encourage each other on what can be sometimes stressful when there is a deadline but I assure you that we love it or else we wouldn't sign up for it. Sometimes all we need is a deadline to tackle a room makeover that we have been dreaming of or thinking about. I get the most work done with deadlines. Do you?

So far, I've shared what my space looked like during our building process during week 1 and my mood board during week 2.  It's always so hard to determine what I'm going to share with you each week without giving away some end results. Oh the struggle. For today, I want to share the progress with you.

My father in law and I been using my chop saw a ton for this dining area makeover and 90% of those cuts are for shiplap!

I found an amazing door on one of those Facebook yard sale sites and I have been hoarding it for probably 18 months. I only paid $25 for it and I am in love! I am trying every possible way to use it for this space. I still need to clean it up though. That board is being used for shiplap and it definitely has changed the feel of the area. I say area because I have a open concept living room, dining and kitchen space. Like one big rectangle.

Sneak peek of my shiplap. I have so thankful for a father in law who put in all the effort and hours! Oh and I spy a binky on that little cart. That can mean one of two things. Either my youngest hid it there or my oldest stuffed it there to hide it from my youngest.

I built this coffee cart from scratch with no plans a few weeks ago and I am in love!

Check back next Thursday for even more sneak peeks as I put everything together! Now I'm off to get some more coffee, find the missing remote, put on some music and get to work!

I'd like to thank my fabulous sponsors...
