Farmhouse + Restoration Hardware Inspired Dining Room // One Room Challenge™ // Week 1

You guys! I think I may be going crazy because.... I'm taking on the One Room Challenge™ partnered with House Beautiful, starting today! Ever since I moved into my new home, I've had big plans. Well not over the top demo'ing anything but some simple design plans that actually take time and effort. That's why it's taking me so long to cross things off my list. What better way than to get things done by signing yourself up for a 6 week design challenge with deadlines. HURRAY!

So what's the One Room Challenge™ you ask?

The Host, CallingItHome.com says, The One Room Challenge™, currently in its tenth season, is a widely anticipated biannual event every April and October. Each round, twenty design bloggers take the challenge and transform a space. Every Wednesday, the designers document their process while sharing their sources and professional advice over the six weekly posts.
In addition to following along, everyone with a blog, is welcome to join the fun as a Guest Participant by linking their own room transformations up during the six weeks. Each Thursday, the internet and social media are flooded with interior design inspiration, ideas, and encouragement.
To date, more than 1,000 rooms have been transformed through the One Room Challenge™. The event, and many of the spaces, have been recognized and featured.

Sounds crazy good right? Well it is because there is SO much inspiration to be found.

I'll be taking on my little dining area which is an open concept. The room is one big rectangle. Kitchen, then dining in the center and then living room. Sometimes it's hard to make each space their own when they are al gathered together. It's great for entertaining but sometimes hard for decorating!

Now with drywall without paint. I love my wall of windows.

I have some simple plans to turn my dining area into a space that is just my style. I've already been hard at work the past month so that I can get everything done on time. I'm so exited to share everything with you!
