It's Time to Break Out of the Norm

It's time. It's time that I stop hiding my thoughts just because this is a DIY blog. It's time that I stop hiding behind the computer screen not using my voice. In 2016 I am stepping out of my comfort zone and merging into something that hasn't really been done before. A crazy spirit filled, spirit lead, faith inspired, DIY and lifestyle blog.I am taking one HUGE gigantic leap of faith. None of my DIY with change and will never change, I will just be adding lifestyle to it. Voicing opinions and being real. This will be a place for all things inspiration. I've been struggling with this idea for along time now. Merging my two blogs into one. If we aren't using our platforms for good then why are we even doing it? I want to connect and resonate with you. Get to know you. Inspire YOU. Inspire you to go deeper in your relationship with God. This isn't going to be a sugar coated blog. I may be way beyond crazy but I'm going for it and I hope and pray that somehow I will reach out to someone. This is me.This is my heart, and I will continue to show you and teach you things other than working with your creativity. I want to inspire you to do more in life.

Recently I came across another blogger that said that she has to have two blogs. One for her DIY and one to voice her opinions. Why? Well, because all of us bloggers are forced into being a "niche" blogger. We are forced to choose our topics and we must stick to them. Stick to them because our readers are coming to us because of those topics and nothing else. If we stray from our niche, we have the potential to turn our readers off and they won't come back. I'm risking it all and I am in faith that it will be worth it. I'm done struggling with the idea of two blogs. Keeping them separate so that I don't offend people. I know this sounds crazy and I keep saying that but it really is crazy!

So let,me introduce myself again...

Hi I'm Teryn. I am a spirit filled, prayer warrior ready to see revival in the world. I  battled and overcame depression in high school. The kind of depression that made me think suicidal thoughts far too often. (I'll be sharing more about that later.)  I also love to drink tons of coffee, paint everything and decorate my home. I know I won't be everyone's cup of tea and this is probably one of the hardest blog posts I will ever hit publish on. I'm ready to break out of the norm!

On most days I feel like I don't fit in anywhere or with anyone because I am a crazy sold out kind of girl. I know there are other people out there that feel the same way as I do and I hope you find me and we can connect.

I'm ready to share stories of revelations intermixed with what I already have going on in this blog. The blog will be mostly DIY but I want to be able to share whatever is on my heart whenever I want! I want to break out of the mold. I'm ready to accept that I'm different! I'm ready to connect and inspire. Who knows what God can do with this crazy little blog, all I know is that I'm going for it.

People that inspire me, Lisa Bevere, Damon Thompson and Kim Clement...

And, with all of that said this is my declaration,
Matthew 21:21-22 - Jesus replied, "Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

Matthew 8:13- "Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would."

I'm hitting the ground running and I'm claiming new territory!

P.S. I can't believe I'm going to hit publish!!

Can you relate to me?

I'm right there with you! I had two blogs until recently. One focusing on weddings (for almost 4 years) and a lifestyle one. After 4 years of talking non-stop about weddings, I decided to sell my blog and focus only on one blog. My lifestyle blog has no niche! I know it sounds crazy but I can't be limited anymore! I just can't! I talk about randomness and I couldn't be happier.

Hi Teryn! So I came across your blog from the loop giveaway on Instagram. It caught my eye because I'm from the Central Valley as well! Your blog is beautiful! I'm so excited to read along :)
