5 Ways to Style a Round Coffee Table

Happy Wednesday and welcome to our blog hop hosted by Stephanie from Casa Watkins. For this hop,  all of us bloggers are showing you how to decorate any type of table top! Hurray! I know sometimes I even get stumped and have to look for inspiration when decorating a big flat surface, There are so many things you can do.

Today I'm showing you 5 ways to style a round coffee table. Now for my examples, I didn't go out and buy anything. I used what decor I had around the house. You don't need to go buy different accessories just to decorate a space. You can gather things that you already have and move things around in your house to make a space feel brand new without spending a dime. Oh and I can't forget to mention that I just painted this coffee table! It was a $5 on craiglist and pretty beat up and brown. I'll be showing you my makeover soon!

When decorating any flat surface, you want to make sure that you have different heights so that it is aesthetically pleasing.

1. I placed my plant from Winco in a basket and used that as my main decor item. The striped vase is from Target dollar spot, vintage books are from the thrift store, clear bottle from Michaels and then I added the succulents to the Target vase. I also added some faux fern in the glass bottle. I used the books to add color and the stripes for pattern. Basket for texture and plants are always a good idea to liven up the space.

2. I used a cake stand from Minted to create different heights. Galvanized bucket from Target dollar spot, plant from Vons, sequin & sign from Target dollar spot to add texture and glam, striped vase from target dollar spot and thrifted book again.

3. I added a white distressed candle stick for height. Thrifted vintage aqua mason jar filled with little white flowers, thrifted book and living plant in a basket.

4. Birdcage because you can never go wrong with a birdcage, candle stick, thrifted books and mason jar with flowers.

5. Galvanized vase from Target dollar spot filled with white peonies, candlestick, aqua mason jar for color with flowers.

and to keep it simple throw a plant in a basket right in the center!

See, every variation of decor that I put together was just tweaked a little bit but created a different look. See how easy it was for me to come up with 5 looks in just a few minutes using what I already had around the house?

Your home is gorgeous! I love your tips, and I must agree that one can never go wrong with a bird cage. I also love that Target pitcher- it looks good in literally any space. :)

Love that you showed so many different options and variations. I've gotta say that I think #1 is my favorite--you just can't have too many plants! <3
