So, for those of you who don't know what the ORC is.... "Starting on Wednesday, October 7th, twenty design bloggers will transform a space in their home (or the home of a client) from start to finish. Each Week, they will be sharing their process, tips, and sources. All of this will lead up to the final room reveals on Wednesday, November 11th. "
On top of the 20 designers, there are a ton of other bloggers participating in the challenge as well and that includes me too!
These past 4 weeks I have been whipping stuff together. I have a way bigger plan that will take longer, but for now this is my temporary ORC plan and reveal. I'm going on a big family vacation next week so I actually will be losing an entire week of working time! My reveal will be during vacation time too! So forgive me if I don't respond to any comments! I'll be gone for 9 days!
Today, I want to show you my gold faux fur bench makeover. I found this oblong awkward badly warped table on the side of the road a few years ago.... It was bad, I know! I completely understand why the previous owner chucked it out the door and threw it to the curb. When I drove by, I saw the potential.... bench potential. Call me crazy!
Here it is before....
and now AFTER!
You can check out week 1, week 2, & week 3 to see how my One Room Challenge is going!
Now head on over to Calling it Home to check out everyone else's progress! See you next week!

I love it!!!!!! I've wanted a bench like this for a while and have been on the hunt for a thrifty upcycled version. Loved your table to stool!
What?? How did you manage to do such a big transformation. I had to look three times on the legs to see if it's the same table now bench. Amazing!!!
Wow...would never have guessed that started off as that strange, awkward piece. Isn't it amazing what a little creativity (and paint!) can do.
