I am excited and very nervous to announce that I am joining the One Room Challenge hosted by Calling it Home and today starts WEEK 1! Call me crazy, I know! As I'm unpacking boxes, I am taking on this challenge. We will see if I am able to finish but I am going to try! Nothing is more motivating than competing in a design challenge so here we go!
So, what is One Room Challenge you ask? It happens twice a year!
"Starting on Wednesday, October 7th, twenty design bloggers will transform a space in their home (or the home of a client) from start to finish. Each Week, they will be sharing their process, tips, and sources. All of this will lead up to the final room reveals on Wednesday, November 11th. "
Other bloggers including myself are joining in on the fun and linking up with our own room transformations! Sounds like crazy fun right? My head is already spinning with ideas. Now which room do I choose?
Since I just moved into my new home, every room needs to be decorated. For this challenge I will be choosing my living room. It is the first thing that you see when you walk through my front door so it is really important that I create something for a great first impression. What you see when you first walk into someone's home sets the entire tone for the rest of the house. So make sure what your guests first see is something that you are proud of!
Here we go! See you next Thursday for my first project! My inspiration is Restoration Hardware mixed with Farmhouse(ish) glam! You can follow along every Thursday and then see the full room reveal at the end. I see a lot of coffee and hard work in my near future!
