Can you believe it's almost Halloween? I'm not usually one to decorate for Halloween. I always just decorate for Fall. My house is only decorated for fall but I decided to create a Halloween wooden sign just for you!
Here is what you need:
Wood slats from your local home improvement store. Mine are from Lowes 3 1/2 inches wide,
Wood screws
White spray paint
Metallic gold spray paint
Saw
Printer
Dailheads
Drill
Lace material
Sander
Hammer
1. Cut 4 wood slats with a circular saw 14 inches long. Also cut 2 back pieces to attach your slats to with screws.
2. Attach your sign with screws. These are the wood screws that I used. Use your drill and put your slats together to make the sign.
3..Sand the edges with your sander.
4. Spray paint your sign cream. I used Rustoleum. Let it dry.
5. Take a piece of lace fabric and cut it to just a little bigger than your sign. I actually cut a lace curtain to use.
6.Place your lace over the sign and spray paint it with metallic gold. I got this gold at Michaels. Let dry.
7. Sand the sign again after the gold has dried to distress it.
8.Print out the Dead & breakfast printable found at the bottom of this post.
9. Grab your nailheads and hammer. I got the brass nailheads at Hancocks.
10. Hammer the nailheads every few inches.
11.Then you are finished!

Love this! Perfect for Halloween!
Haha oh gosh I love the twist on words! Really cute sign! I love the patina you've managed on that wood!
I love this fun sign and the technique you used with the lace. That little glitzy pumpkin is so perfect with it. How fun. Cathy
I am so into the gold tones this fall. I love this project idea and I am going to use this idea for another project. Beautiful dresser too.
I absolutely love the lace on this little wooden sign! so cute! So glad to "meet you" through the Home for Fall blog hop! Pinning for reference!
Among those posts I've seen, this is the most particular one, and I think the blogger must have spent lots of time on it, thank you so much!
