DIY Christmas Glitter Glam Reindeer Sign

I found this 8x10 curvy wood sign at Hobby Lobby for $2.99 and I knew exactly what I was going to do with it when I purchased it. Here is what else you'll need to make your glitter glam reindeer sign:

Spray paint in white & metallic gold
painters tape
sanding block
stencil or reindeer cut out from your silhouette machine
red chunky glitter
pen for tracing
Small paint brush

I was in a hurry to get this done so I didn't snap a before picture. Sorry!
First I spray painted it with Valspar's white primer and let that completely dry. I think I did 2 coats.
Then I taped the striped on about every inch to inch and a half.

Next I spray painted it with Valspar's metallic gold and let that dry completely.

I pulled the tape off and then brought it inside.

I lighted sanded the edges giving it a distressed look.
Place little ol prancer, dasher or Rudolph on top to trace. (Whatever you want to name him. Heck, even little Rudy the reindeer!)
Trace it with a pen. I have to point out that I actually write with my right hand but for the sake of all things DIY I had to show you how I traced it! I can't snap a picture with my left!
Now your done tracing do remove the cut out.

Time for some paint!

It took me 2-3 coats and I laid it on thick so the glitter would stick.

Pour then pour some glitter, covering every inch of  Rudy!

Then shake shake shake it off! Oh Oh Oh Oh. (OK, I just had to sing that!)

Let it dry completely and let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!

I had everything on hand except the sign so it cost me $2.99!

This is so cute! Just wanted to add a tip, mix a little Elmer's glue in with the paint to get the glitter to stick even better.
